2008 WIHS Grand Prix Jump-Off
By admin on Feb 10, 2010 in Grand prix video
A class of 25 boils down to these last eight horses in the 2008 WIHS $100000 Grand Prix. Featuring last year’s winning team, Black Ice & Jill Henselwood, and the 2008 Olympic Gold medal winning duo of Sapphire and McLain Ward.
Man that grey horse could have jumped the moon!! And that pinto jumped with her knees up to her chin! Love it!

but did you see how much slower the others went and most of them didn’t knock any rails but the fast one did.i understand it’s a jump off, but there’s a difference between fast and too fast

Its a jump off, your meant to. They’re top of the top of horses, and the riders know what they’re doing, horses have special boots they wear at this level to stop them hurting their shinns and knees, also, the horses would go a hell of a lot faster if they could!

Jill rides with her hands..not shoulders..meliane smith would have a fit!
SClucy | Feb 10, 2010 | Reply
Yeah she is a very sloppy rider..good thing she has horses that make up for it..when it comes down to it…fast with rails falling isnt better than a slower round with no time or jump faults..i mean come on..after the first rail..your not going to win..your not going to be top 4…stop..take it easy..and ride the rest WELL the fact she just kept running around and got ANOTHER..says enough…

The second to last horse had a wonderful ride.

Ugh Its kinda said, incredible jumping skill and all, but when is tight enough turns enough ya know? Their so rough on their mouths, see-sawing and such its really sad, I know I saw one or two horses that certainly werent pleased with the hard hands/harsh bit.
